What is this conference about?

The first week the participants learnt about Ending Bible Poverty Now (Bible translations, distribution and Bible engagement), the learnt about worldview and belief systems (why you do what you do, do your actions match your beliefs and are your beliefs Godly beliefs?). They saw examples of education founded on Biblical principles, they visited the studio of christians working in the film industry, they went to the farm to look at sustainable agriculture, they had teachings on Medical Missions and on Bible Engagement. After this whirlwind of information they will spend the next week learning more about Community Development, Law & Advocacy and in the processing they will design a project on what they can do when they go back to Cameroon to take on a piece of this vision. We are eager to see their final presentations on Friday!

Next step after this is the YWAM Together Conference in Kansas City (Jackson will go there!) . There African Bible Safari will have an info booth to share about the vision and recruit more YWAMers to record bible less languages and get involved in our training & education projects. Because people not only need to receive the Bible, but then they need to know how to apply it to their lives!

Jackson’s Birthday!

There wasn’t a more appropriate way to celebrate my visionary husband’s birthday than to have the opening dinner with the African Pastors! I made this cake for him and we took it to their opening dinner.

His birthday gifts from family were a  frequent flyer airmiles ticket to Kansas City YWAM Together Conference and dorm room accommodation.

What is remaining is his registration fee and feeding (approx 400$).
If you would like to send him a belated birthday gift towards this you can paypal to: ndecheckj@yahoo.com.
